3 years in the Netherlands (KNAW) with a EU-Marie-Curie scholarship, associate Prof. Ecology, at the UB until 2004. That year joined CSIC with Ramon y Cajal program. In 2008 he obtained a permanent position at CEAB-CSIC, where he is the head of the Group of Aquatic Macrophyte Ecology. He is also Adjunct Professor at the Edith Cowan Univ. Perth.
